Here are a few updates you can look forward to in LogDNA's log management and analysis features.

#1 Log Alerting Improvements

With new improvements to log alerting and a redesigned UI, you can now test and mute alerts easily. You can now specify when you want to be alerted, mute alerts and test out the delivery of the alerts.

Logdna Alert Control

In every view, you can now mute any alerts you’ve created to pause notifications until you’re ready to start them again. With our new UI, you have more granular control of when you’d like to be alerted, either as a post mortem after a specified time period or after a specified number of matches occur within the time period. In addition, LogDNA now supports integration with Datadog, Librato/Appoptics, and VictorOps to streamline alerts into your existing operational processes.

#2 New Onboarding Flow

By popular request, we’ve made the signup and onboarding flow even easier. With our new discoverability feature, you can now enable team members to signup and join your organization faster. Just hop into your team settings and enable this feature to allow users with the same domain to request to join your team.

#3 Custom Log Parsing (Beta)

This one the whole team is excited to release. After months of hard work, LogDNA is proud to enable our customers to create custom log parsing rules! Since launch, we automatically identify, detect and parse common formats during ingestion and now we’re opening it up for you to add your custom parsing rules and tell us which fields to index. You will finally be able to use LogDNA’s search and visualization tools for your custom log lines. When our new wizard is released in November, a Custom Parsing Template option will appear under settings. Create a new template, add an example log line into the template to start and use the wizard to identify how LogDNA should parse this line. Apply these rules to more sample log lines to test it out and then activate this template to apply custom parsing rules to the incoming log lines. Just note that these templates are applied to new log lines coming in and don’t get retroactively applied to logs already received in LogDNA.
